MeLLmo Delivers Green Data On-the-Go with Roambi

Makes Carbon Emissions Data from the Carbon Disclosure Project and SAP Easy to Access and Interact With on the iPhone and the Web

San Diego, CA – December 15, 2009 – MeLLmo Inc, creators of the free Roambi iPhone app, is increasing awareness of climate change by making carbon emissions data easier to understand and analyze through Roambi. People can visit http://www.roambi.com/carbon-disclosure-project to view and interact with environmental data online, or send it directly to their iPhones for on-the-go access. The site is live this week in conjunction with the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen (COP 15).

Based on unique data from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and SAP that is available today for the first time in a mobile format, the Roambi interactive visualizations help people better understand and more easily analyze international carbon emissions information. The Roambi application includes the following sample reports from the CDP and SAP, illustrating an emerging way for organizations to market data and trends related to climate change:

    • A CDP report on the disclosure of carbon emissions of companies within the FTSE 350 by sector
    • A report that shows what percentage of companies by country are disclosing information for the CDP against the average
    • SAP’s Carbon Footprint report that tracks how the company has reduced emissions in different regions as well as the targets set for 2020
    • SAP’s Sustainable Buildings report that shows different SAP buildings throughout the world and discloses their total energy usage for the year as well as tracking usage in MWh month-to-month

“In the movement to build a cleaner world and a more sustainable way of life, people and companies need access to critical information wherever they are,” said David Becerra, MeLLmo co-founder and vice president of User Interface. “Roambi is a tool that lets companies deliver business information, including green data, to their mobile users. With the launch of www.roambi.com/carbon-disclosure-project, we’re happy to help make important carbon emissions data from the CDP and SAP easy to access, analyze and understand online and on-the-go.”
